About me

Mickey originally came to us back in March 2022. There was a new baby in the family and Mickey was not coping well with all the changes.  He then found a new home but unfortunately was returned to us on the 19th of July.

Mickey is a sensitive soul who is looking for quite a specific home. He will need a female owner who is prepared to let him take things at his own pace and allow him time to settle. Mickey can be worried by strangers, especially men, and is also anxious around children. He is sound sensitive and can be worried by loud noises so a quiet home environment is a must. Once Mickey knows you he is happy, bouncy boy who loves fuss and attention and will sit on your lap or curl up next to you on the sofa. He is housetrained, enjoys his walks and zoomies in the garden and likes to play with toys. Mickey knows how to sit and give a paw and anywhere there is sun he will go and sunbathe!

He needs to be the only dog in the home and could not live with cats or small animals. Mickey tends to ignore other dogs when out on walks but can sometimes bark at them if he feels worried.

Mickey is looking for a very experienced owner without children, or visiting children. He needs his own secure, private garden and a fairly active owner who is prepared to continue his training. Mickey has had issues with resource guarding in his previous homes so any new owner will need to have experience of this or be prepared to manage this with guidance from our behaviourist.
