Neutered Male

Terrier cross

Henry has been sociable with female dogs whilst at the shelter. We have not tried him with other males yet. He will need a home without cats or small animals.

About me

Henry came in on the 22nd of September via an Inspector as his previous owner could no longer give him the care he needed. He had a fractured femur on his right hind leg and could not weight bear on it at all. Unfortunately as this had not been fixed when the injury first happened there was no option other than removing his leg so he is now a tripod. Henry has recovered really well from his operation and having 3 legs does not stop him!

Henry has been friendly with all the female staff at the shelter but can be very worried by men. He has made one male friend whilst he has been with us and we are starting to socialise him more. Anyone wishing to adopt Henry will need to commit to regular meets at the shelter to get to know him. Once he know you he is a very sweet boy who enjoys a fuss. He knows how to sit and walks well on the lead but will need some further training and socialising.

Henry is looking for an experienced, adult only home. He is a young boy who still has lots of energy so will need a fairly active home once he is fully fit. His exercise levels will need to be increased gradually while he is getting used to having 3 legs.
