About me

Back in July we had a large group of gerbils surrendered to us as the owner had too many and could no longer look after them. They are now over 4 months old, so they are still quite young. They arrived to us on 29/07/24. The 4 females currently reside in a large group as they get on very well, they could be rehomed either as a group or split into smaller pairs.

The girls are a very active group of gerbils who have formed a nice social group. They do everything together, and we have often found them sleeping in a big huddle (as pictured!). Like most small animals, they aren’t keen on being picked up and can be quite wriggly, but they can be handled. In their next home, they will need a spacious tank with plenty of enrichment to keep them busy (you won’t have any more recycling as they love cardboard!!). They will need experienced owners who have cared for small rodents before.
