About me
Alex is a sweet-natured parakeet that arrived to us on 12/01/2025. He and another parrot from the same home were transferred to us from another shelter. He has been vet checked and microchipped.
Since arriving to us, Alex has shown himself to be a very gentle and sweet bird. He loves eating different fruits and will happily take food from your hand. That being said, he doesn’t like human touch – he likes to have company, but doesn’t want to be handled. He can be quiet for a parrot but does make noises when he knows there is some food for him (however he may get noisier in his next home!). Being an Alexandrine he has very long tail feathers, so his cage must be big enough to accommodate this. He will need to be in a household that often has someone at home to keep him company.
Alex came to us with another bird, Cassie (African Grey). We are looking to rehome them into the same home but in different cages. They will need a secure room so that they can spend plenty of time outside of their respective cages.
