Our Kennel Champions

Connie, the German Shepherd

Connie the German Shepherd came to RSPCA Brighton on the 3rd November 2021 via an Inspector.

She was living in a unsuitable home with multiple other dogs and was extremely undernourished on arrival. Her previous owner was later prosecuted for neglect.

Connie spent 230 days at RSPCA Brighton both at the shelter and in foster care getting the care she deserved. She was lucky enough to find her forever home with Kathy and was adopted on 21st June 2022.

In memory of Connie, she will now become a Kennel Champion, and her legacy will help us to care for other neglected dogs who desperately need our help to find new loving forever homes.

Kathy has written a dedication to Connie:

“I adopted Connie as a older dog and we enjoyed a few days short of two wonderful years together. She was the most gentle and affectionate soul who made many human and dog friends, giving confidence to nervous dogs and people who were at first apprehensive about her breed type. She really was the most incredible ambassador for ‘Adopt Don’t Shop.’ With special thanks to RSPCA Brighton for choosing me to care for her… Much loved and dearly missed.”

RIP Connie 22/07/12 – 19/06/24
