Our Plan
Our ambitious plan will replace an outdated kennels and cattery with brand new facilities. We use the most up to date animal welfare insights to shape the design, to ensure our animals receive the best care possible.
The new build will allow us to focus on reducing stress for the animals who need our help, with warm cosy kennels and cat pens. We will seek to provide soothing music, shelter from stressors in the environment and spacious exercise areas.
This phased three year plan will enable us to keep on caring for the neediest animals from our branch area while at the same time, working around the site to install these modern facilities.

Shelter Sponsors who donate £500 and above will get a plaque at the Shelter and place on our online commemorative wall. It’s the perfect way to mark a special occasion, celebrate a loved one or remember a precious pet.
You could help us by sponsoring an animal space for as little as £2 a month. We have four types of animal space available for sponsorship:
Dog kennel: minimum £50 per year or £4.50 per month (by standing order)
Cat pen: minimum £35 per year or £3.50 per month (by standing order)
Small animal pen: minimum £20 per year or £2 per month (by standing order)
Reptile vivarium: minimum £20 per year or £2 per month (by standing order)
You might also like to consider sponsorship as a special gift for someone, or in memory of a loved person or pet. In return for your kindness, we will:
- Display your name on our Sponsorship board in the Animal Shelter
- Send you a personal certificate
- Send you our Newshound three times a year
- Include your name in our ‘Roll of Honour’ in the Newshound and on our website

We are here to celebrate our kind donors, whose support in the most recent round of fundraising means we can now go the extra mile and make our latest construction project possible.
Our new buildings provide refuge to some of the most vulnerable animals in our community. They now have a place where they can stay in relative comfort while they recover their health and strength, before we find them a suitable forever-home.
