Dogs looking for forever homes

Casper

What you need to know

Age:
4 years

Sex:
Neutered Male

Breed:
Lurcher

Can live with:
Casper has been sociable with other dogs while he has been with us but can be over-enthusiastic when he sees other dogs out on walks.  This just seems to be enthusiasm to say hello but his new owner will need to be prepared to manage this. He would really benefit from living with a female dog who enjoys his company and can help him learn that other dogs out on walks are not that exciting!

He is not suitable to live with cats or small furries.

About me

Casper came in on the 27th of April. He was originally adopted from us last September but unfortunately he needs more training then his new owners are able to provide for him.

Casper is a friendly, affectionate boy with a lot of energy! He will need an active family who are prepared to put time into his training. Casper can become quite mouthy when over stimulated so is looking for an experienced owner who understands Lurchers and their quirky ways. Once Casper has let off steam he becomes a cuddly couch potato who enjoys a fuss and spending time with you.

Casper knows how to sit and was housetrained in his previous home although he may need a little reminder after spending time in kennels. He likes playing with toys, especially a soft one that he can eventually pull the stuffing out of. Casper often joins us in our staffroom at lunchtimes and after an initial burst of energy settles really nicely and greets everyone who comes through the door.

Casper is looking for an adult only home. He will need his own secure garden for lurcher zoomies.
