Raystede is celebrating 70 years of caring for animals. Today they are one of the most diverse rescue centres in the UK, caring for so many different species of animals and helping more than 1,200 vulnerable animals each year from their 43-acre site.

Kit Wilson Trust

At the KWT are based in East Sussex. They rescue and re-home unwanted animals, mainly cats and dogs, and have a wildlife rehabilitation program and an emergency helpline.

The Trust’s Rescue Centre is also home to horses, donkeys, cats, goats, birds and small mammals where, in the interest of their welfare, they remain in their care.

The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre

The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre was founded in 1986 to rescue and rehome cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. They have helped over 25,000 animals and rehome about 1,000 a year.

The Fox Project

Established in 1991 as a specialist Wildlife Information Bureau and Fox Deterrence Consultancy, The Fox Project has since incorporated a Wildlife Hospital since 1993 which, today – admits and treats over 1000 foxes per year, including over 300 cubs.
