Ragu and Espresso came into the shelter as their owner was moving and they could not take the guinea pigs.  Espresso had 3 baby guinea pigs with her and there was another female who had 5 baby guinea pigs.  Ragu, Espresso and Macchiato the other female guinea pig had been brought and not sexed properly by their previous owners.   We separated them all Ragu on his own and the girls with their babies.  We rehomed these babies and neutered Ragu.  Hoping to put the now adult guinea pigs back together as a group.  But unfortunately guinea pigs can get pregnant straight away after giving birth, even while they are nursing babies, so before they came into the shelter.  This resulted in Macchiato having 7 and Expresso having 3 more babies!!!

All the babies and Macchiato have now been rehomed and we have re bonded Ragu and Espresso.  So now is their turn.  We are looking for a home for them together.  They can live inside or outside.  They will need a secure area for them to live in, plus an area for them to come out in each day for exercise.  They will need an inside area to come out in daily in the winter.

They are a sweet pair but as you can imagine have been through alot so will need patient owners who will give them time to settle and come out of their shells
