Please note Reggie is not at the shelter. He was adopted from us when he was about 6 months old and due to an unfortunate change in circumstances needs to find a new home. We are trying to prevent him having to come back in to kennels. Here is what is current owner says about him:-
Reggie’s favourite things are playing with his ball and going for adventurous walks – he will always be up for a snuggle on the sofa and loves being under blankets. He loves human attention and is great with kids.
Like most lurchers he doesn’t get on with cats, small animals such as rabbits/guinea pigs and foxes.
He was badly attacked a couple of years ago by another dog causing him and I great distress. As a result, we have been unable to socialise him as much as we would have liked causing him to sometimes be reactive towards some dogs.
Reggie is brilliant around children (my granddaughter is 2 years old and spend days cuddled up on the sofa and happily playing ball). He is housetrained and knows many basic commands and is a delight to have around the house.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I also had to move to a different property and now only have a small courtyard. Reggie has bundles of energy and would really benefit from a large garden area and someone strong with the time to socialise him with other dogs.
