Kya came in on the 22nd of September via an Inspector after her previous owner became homeless. She was a very anxious girl when she first arrived and very worried when meeting new people, especially men.
Kya is now an affectionate, friendly girl who enjoys a cuddle on your lap (even though she doesn’t fit!) We still take introductions to new people slowly but she is doing so well with this.
She knows sit and her name on command, is housetrained and enjoys playing with toys, especially a rope or soft teddy which she likes to suck like a comfort blanket. Kya walks well on the lead most of the time but can be a strong girl when she sees a rabbit or something else she wants to chase!
Kya needs to be the only pet in the home. She can be reactive with other dogs on walks which is something we are working on. She will need further socialisation and a strong owner who can manage this. Kya has made one doggie friend while she has been with us and seems to be better with males than other females.
Kya can be very sound sensitive and does not like busy traffic noise. She is looking for a new home in a rural location and will need her own garden.
Kya needs an experienced owner without children and with someone prepared to continue her training.
