Zeus: 2-3 years, neutered male, Presa Canario

Zeus came in on the 18th of March via an Inspector as he was no longer wanted.

He is a friendly, affectionate boy once he knows you but can be wary of strangers at first.  Zeus knows sit, down, stay, come, paw and his name on command, enjoys being groomed and likes playing with toys, especially a squeaky one.

He is sociable with most other dogs but will defend himself if other dogs are unfriendly towards him first.  Zeus needs a home without cats or small animals.

He is looking for an owner who is experienced with large, strong breeds.  Zeus weighs around 50 kg and can be very powerful on the lead when he wants to go somewhere! He needs a home without children.

Zeus has recently discovered a new hobby of chasing after cars! We are hoping he will forgot about this pastime when there are more exciting things to do in a new home but he would prefer a home where there is not a lot of passing traffic as holding on to the lead when he does this can be fun!!

*During lockdown and social distancing measures whilst the shelter is closed to the public, we are asking people to fill out a Perfect Match form (which can be found on the main RSPCA website) and emailing it to us at brightonrspca@gmail.com if they are interested in adopting from us. We will be in touch if we feel you may be a good fit. We hope to begin rehoming again soon, under guidelines from headquarters and DEFRA. We will resume rehoming slowly – prioritising local potential adopters, and bringing pets to your home to complete an adoption whilst we remain closed. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this unique experience.
