Max came in on the 24th of January along with three other dogs from an unsuitable home.
He is a cheeky, playful boy who is looking for a special home. In his previous home Max had limited life experiences and socialisation. This has caused him to be very worried by strangers. He is looking for an experienced, patient home to build his confidence.
Max knows sit and his name on command, enjoys his walks and is learning to walk nicely on his harness. He is doing well with travelling in the car but could use more practise. He enjoys playing with toys, especially a ball and also loves his food!
Max will need a pet free home, although he could be homed with his friend Lucky. He is learning to interact nicely with other dogs but needs further socialising.
He is looking for an adult only, very experienced home. Max takes time to trust new people and anyone interested in adopting him will need to meet him on several occasions at the shelter first.
Max is not ready to find a new home yet as he is currently receiving some behaviour training.
*During lockdown and social distancing measures whilst the shelter is closed to the public, we are asking people to fill out a Perfect Match form (which can be found on the main RSPCA website) and emailing it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if they are interested in adopting from us. We will be in touch if we feel you may be a good fit. We hope to begin rehoming again soon, under guidelines from headquarters and DEFRA. We will resume rehoming slowly – prioritising local potential adopters, and bringing pets to your home to complete an adoption whilst we remain closed. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this unique experience.
