Harry: 9-10 years, neutered male, Shih-tzu

Harry came in on the 31st of March after his owner passed away.

He is a sweet, playful older boy who enjoys his walks.  Harry knows sit and his name on command, is ok when groomed and walks well on the lead. He likes to play with toys, especially soft ones but does not always want to give them back!

Harry is ok with most other dogs but prefers calm ones.  He may be able to live with the right female dog.

He can be quite independent but is starting to enjoy a fuss now that he has got to know the staff.  Harry is shy of new people at first so would need time to settle in. He needs a home without children.

*During lockdown and social distancing measures whilst the shelter is closed to the public, we are asking people to fill out a Perfect Match form (which can be found on the main RSPCA website) and emailing it to us at brightonrspca@gmail.com if they are interested in adopting from us. We will be in touch if we feel you may be a good fit. We hope to begin rehoming again soon, under guidelines from headquarters and DEFRA. We will resume rehoming slowly – prioritising local potential adopters, and bringing pets to your home to complete an adoption whilst we remain closed. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this unique experience.
