Charlie came in on the 27th of February via an Inspector from an unsuitable home.
He is a sweet, friendly boy who knows sit, down and his name on command, enjoys his walks, is good when bathed and groomed and likes playing with toys, especially a ball. He is getting used to being picked up as he was not keen on this when he first arrived.
Charlie likes other dogs and has lived with one in his previous home. He will have a little grumble if they are too lively for him and would probably prefer a home of his own. He has not been tested with cats yet.
Charlie has a condition called dry eye and will be on eye drops for the rest of his life. He will need to continue seeing our vet for this and we will pay for the eye drops but his new owner will need to be prepared to treat him on a daily basis. (He is a very well-behaved boy when he has his treatment).
He is looking for a quieter home environment and would prefer not to live with children.
*During lockdown and social distancing measures whilst the shelter is closed to the public, we are asking people to fill out a Perfect Match form (which can be found on the main RSPCA website) and emailing it to us at email@example.com if they are interested in adopting from us. We will be in touch if we feel you may be a good fit. We hope to begin rehoming again soon, under guidelines from headquarters and DEFRA. We will resume rehoming slowly – prioritising local potential adopters, and bringing pets to your home to complete an adoption whilst we remain closed. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this unique experience.
