Buddy & Ruby: 8-9 years & 11-12 years, Neutered Male & Spayed Female, Yorkshire Terrier and West Highland Terrier

Buddy and Ruby came in on the 23rd of February along with two other dogs after their owner passed away.

We are looking for a foster or forever home for this lovely pair as Buddy has some health issues that need closer monitoring than we can give at the shelter.

Buddy suffers with seizures that he is currently on medication for and the root cause is still being investigated, because of this we are looking for a local home who can work with us and our vet around his appointments. Please note that we will continue to pay for Buddy’s medication and vets appointments for his seizures.

Buddy and Ruby are an incredibly loving, cheeky pair of dogs and despite the occasional disagreement over snacks are inseparable. Ruby is a great comfort to Buddy when he has his seizures. Buddy loves to play ball whilst Ruby watches and rolls in the grass! They love their food, are good when groomed, housetrained and enjoy their walks.

They will need to be the only pets in the home as Buddy wants Ruby all to himself! Ruby likes other dogs but can be very chatty when she first sees them.

They are looking for a quiet, retirement home without young children. You will need to be around most of the time to monitor Buddy. They will need their own garden.

If you are interested in helping this dynamic duo then please get in touch with us at the shelter and we can chat further about Buddy’s needs.
